INTRODUCTION... There is a true story about Spanish conqueror Juan Ponce de Leon. It is said that he loved his life very much; so much was the love he felt for his life that he was ready to do anything possible in order to never die. One day, someone told Ponce de Leon that in Florida there was a 'Fountain of youth', A spring of natural water with supernatural powers that would cause anyone who bathe in it to rejuvenate. With such promising results, Juan Ponce de Leon did not wait. He departed from Puerto Rico, where he was governor by the authority of the king of Spain, and went to Florida in North America in search for the fountain of magical waters that had the power to make him young again and never die. History tells us that that instead of finding the desired 'Fountain of Youth', he found that which he feared the most and wanted less. He found DEATH. The great and famous conqueror received a deadly wound by an arrow in the hands of the Florida Indians. What a sad ending for such a famous and powerful man. I believe that we all have something in common with Don Juan Ponce de Leon. We certainly do not want to get old, and much less die. Maybe you, like the conqueror wish to have a long life full of youth and strength, and if possible avoid death in some way. Today people strive to find ways to hide any trace of age in their bodies. Men and women of all ages are searching for the 'Fountain of Youth' in body creams, ointments, hair dye, plastic surgeries, medicines or vitamins; the fear of death is clearly seen in the majority of people, yet death is inevitable. SIN... Sin has caused people to die. Great and small, rich and poor, powerful and humble, all will have to face death some time, you too. The Bible says that "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). Man has ONLY ONE OPPORTUNITY to die or live for ever, after you have died, there will be no more opportunity. Purgatory does not exist, re-incarnation is a lie, a product of a mind far from the biblical reality and the knowledge of God. The Bible says: "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). All will be judged before God in that great Day of Judgment in which the Bible says: "the books in which all the deeds of all the humans are written will be opened and the 'Book of Life' will also be opened and those whose names are not found in the 'Book of Life of God' (Because they did not accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior and did not live according to the Bible) will be casted into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. (Revelation [Apocalypse] 20:11-15; 21:8). Dear friend, this may seem horrendous, but the Bible does not lie, it has never been wrong and it will not be wrong. Maybe you have believed that God is all love and that he will never punish anyone. Maybe you believe that everyone is going to heaven, that all you need to do is be good and nice to everyone, but that is not what the Bible says. First of all, the Bible says that "there is no one righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:9), only God is righteous. Also, "there is nothing good that you can do that will guarantee you entrance to heaven" (Ephesians 2:9). "God is love" (John 4:16) but also "The LORD your God is a consuming fire" (Deutoronomy 4:24) You still have time, your are still alive and can make the decision that will determine if you will die and suffer in the fiery lake of burning sulfur or if to receive ETERNAL LIFE. ETERNAL LIFE Today you have a promise of ETERNAL LIFE. The path to 'The fountain of eternal youth' was promised and shown to man a long time ago, however, many still have decided to search for other ways. The Bible tells us: "There are ways that seem like the right way, but their end is path of death", but "The ways of the LORD are right" (Hosea 14:9). How sad would it be if when you die, you then notice that the way you chose was a path of death. Today God wishes to give you Life. Jesus tells you: "I have come that you may have life and have it to the full" (John 10:10). ONE OPPORTUNITY... Today God has permitted you to receive this message of ETERNAL LIFE. There are many those who have accepted this gift to live forever. Maybe you, like many other people, think that when you die, you will go to heaven. The Bible teaches that only those who have received Jesuschrist as LORD through faith, will be in the kingdom of heaven and will enjoy eternal life. Dear friend, you need to repent from you sins, ask God for forgiveness and start a new life with Christ; you need to be "Born again". BORN AGAIN... There was a religious leader who went to Jesus at night to speak to him, he was surprised when Jesus told him: "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." (John 3:3). This man was a leader, he would spent most of his time in synagogue (temple), he would teach others how to get to God, how to pray, how to live a pure life according to God, but, he himself was lost and did not know how to obtain eternal life. Today there are many like him, Jesus called them blind guiding the blind. To be born again is not an option, is a requisite. If you wish, you can take this opportunity to give your life to Jesus Christ. He tells you: "whoever comes to me I will never drive away" (John 6:37), he also says "Come to me, all you who are wary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Mathew 11:28). Whatever your situation may be, God wants and can help you. The new birth will create in you a desire to change your all and sinful ways, leaving all sin behind and going forward to a new life in Christ. If you repent from your sins with all your heart and confess Jesus as your saviour and ask him to forgive all of your sins and change your life, you will be saved.
